AMICI STRING PROGRAM 2024/2025

THEORY REGISTRATION FORM

The Amici String Program is excited to offer a full year of theory class. Classes will be held Monday afternoon at 4:30PM (6 students minimum) and will be RCM 5/6 only. Classes will be one hour in length and the goal of the class is to write the RCM Theory exam in May 2025.

Time: 4:30 PM beginning Monday, September 30
Location: In-person at Bethany Chapel
Cost: $350 for 18 lessons; bursary not available

Fall: September 30; October 07, 21, 28; November 04, 18, 25; December 02, 2024 (8)
Winter: January 13, 20, 27; February 03, 10, 24; March 03, 10, 17, 31, 2025 (10)

Registration Deadline: September 30, 2024

Course materials required:
• Students will need the RCM Celebrate Theory series
• Pencils, Eraser, notebook
• A folder to keep hand outs

Teacher: Eileen Kosasih
Eileen Kosasih is a multifaceted visual artist, musician, and whiskey specialist based in Calgary, Canada, with a passion for integrating art and music in education and appreciation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music in Violin Performance, a pre collegiate piano diploma, a Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting, and a Master
of Art in Fine and Decorative Art and Design. She also holds Level III certification in Spirits from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. Eileen has led workshops across Alberta and BC, collaborated with organizations such as the Instrumental Society Calgary, and has been a Guest Artist for institutions like the Banff Centre and Calgary schools. Her art has been represented by galleries including Apik Fine Art and Art Spot, and she regularly hosts whiskey tastings for local businesses and private events. As a musician, Eileen has held numerous roles, including Principal Second Violin for the Symphony of the Kootenays and Principal Pianist for the Calgary Boys’ Choir and Mount Royal Conservatory’s Arietta Choir, while contributing extensively to the local music scene as a freelance performer.
